Are you a local artist interested in teaching, exhibiting, and/or selling your work at Gallery East?

Then, you might qualify for membership in our cooperative. We currently have several available membership spaces.

Along with full memberships, we also welcome monthly "Guest Artists" as well as offering select local "Gift Artist" exhibition space when available.


  • Applicants must submit at least 3 pieces of artwork to the Review Board.
    Only artwork of the type that is reviewed can be displayed.

  • Artwork should be in the Gallery for review, along with the application, on the first Monday of the month by 1:00PM.

  • The majority of wall artist have a four-foot wide space going from the floor to the ceiling.

  • 3D artist's space is arranged on an individual basis due to the variety of size needs.

  • Gallery East members are required to staff the gallery.
    Then number of shifts will depend on the number of gallery members.
    Currently 2 or 3 half days per month is required.

  • Members are urged to attend the monthly, general meetings and artist's receptions.

  • Members are asked to server on a committee when needed.

  • Insuring artwork is the responsibility of the individual artist.


    • Thank you for your interest in joining Gallery East, Ocala's only Artists Co-Operative. Here at the Gallery, artists join together to further art in Central Florida and have a place to showcase their own artwork. The success of Gallery East depends on its members. Join us for our monthly receptions or as a member have a reception of your own. We are always looking for a new, creative artist and the fresh ideas they can bring to the Gallery East classroom.

    Grand Opening and Reception
    Refreshments, wine, and light food beginning at 5:00PM. Join us for piano and accordion music, caricaturists, artist demonstrations and meet Miss Belleview. Guest artist are Luis Romero and Christi Gaskill. Featured artist is Patricia Hewitt Duane. Join us in our new location in Almeida Plaza half a mile south of Baseline Road, and north or Market of Marion.
